Pork back fat has many great qualities. Kunekune fat is known for its Vitamin D and E values as well as its Omega 9 values. Back fat is great for making homemade sausage from leaner animals such as elk, buffalo, and venison. It can also be used to create whipped lard or rendering down for cooking and soap making.

Orders place by 11:59pm will be processed for the following shipping day.
Meat ships frozen with ice packs (dry ice only if traveling longer distances or warmer months)
Ice packs and meat may thaw in transit
Upon arrival place meat in the refrigerator or freezer immediatly
Meat may be kept refrigerated in their sealed packaging for 3 to 4 days after arrival
Meat may be kept frozen for up to 12 months if vacuum seal stays unbroken.

MKONO Farm is a small batch swinery that specializes in the slow growing heritage breed Kunekune. We are a pastured piggery that practices pasture rotation fostering permaculture systems on farm. We strive to utilize the Kunekune pig in every facet we can by selling show/breeding stock, homestead stock, feeders to whole pig, roasters, meat by the cut, and charcuterie. Our pigs are humanely raised, well loved, and grass fed from start to finish.
