We are a 4th generation farm family that is now located in Citronelle Alabama. Cowpen Creek farms was founded by Nadine Richardson of Robertsdale Alabama and was started as a Waygu/Angus cow/calf operation that began finishing, Harvesting and selling Waygu freezer beef to her local community.
As of the fall of 2023, we “ the Shirah family” have purchased Cowpen Creek farms and relocated the headquarters to Citronelle Alabama to continue the legacy of producing high quality Waygu beef. It has been a dream of ours since the start of our ranch here at Oak Clover Pastures to be able and offer high quality Prime Waygu beef to our family, friends and community. With the addition of Cowpen creek Prime Waygu cattle, brand, business and family it is a dream come true!
